Think Fridays are all good vibes and countdowns to happy hour? Not so fast ā your car might have other plans.
A new study from CARFAX just revealed that Fridays are the most dangerous day of the week to be on the road in at least 43 states. Yeah⦠that Friday rush hits different when you mix in packed highways, tired drivers, and everybody texting their group chat about weekend plans.
Mississippi leads the pack, with over 18% of all their car crashes happening on Fridays. Not far behind? California, Texas, and New York ā which makes sense, ācause those traffic jams could stress out a monk.
On the flip side, if youāre trying to play it safe, Sunday is your best bet. Less traffic, fewer crashes, and honestly⦠probably fewer people trying to cut you off on the way to brunch.
So the next time you're racing out of work, blasting your weekend playlist ā just remember: the Friday curse is real. Be safe, stay focused, and maybe donāt send that āon my wayā text while youāre in the driverās seat.
