Chinese Soccer Club Fined For Putting Talismans Into Opposing Team's Locker Room To Attract Evil Spirits

Changchun Xidu FC Said: “Win at all costs.” Even if it means summoning evil spirits.
So apparently, some soccer teams are out here ditching strategy and going full dark arts instead.
In one of the most WILD sports stories we've seen in a minute, a Chinese soccer club was fined this week for trying to curse their opponents with Taoist talismans.
Yes. Literal paper spells.
Here’s what went down: China League Two team Changchun Xidu FC was caught slipping yellow Taoist talismans into the visitors’ locker room before a match on June 28th. The charms said stuff like:
👉 “By decree, Shanxi Chongde Ronghai must be defeated.”
Basically… they tried to hex the other team. 😅
And guess what?
It might’ve worked.
They won the game 2-0 and are now sitting second in the league standings.
But after photos of the talismans hit the internet, the Chinese Professional Football League was like, “Yeah, no. We don’t do curses.”
So they slapped the team with a $4,100 fine for using what they called “feudal superstition items.”
Even worse, now other teams are coming forward saying they found similar spooky stuff in their locker rooms earlier in the season. 👀
TL;DR:
⚽ Team tried to win with spells, not skills
🧙♂️ Got caught putting evil talismans in the opponent’s locker room
😬 Victory now totally overshadowed by “Did y’all curse us too?”
We’re just gonna say it:
If your team has to call on evil spirits to win, maybe you’re not that good.
Would YOU keep playing if you walked into the locker room and found a curse with your name on it?
